The Loader Window Doesn't Appear, or to Manually Open the Program
When you insert the CD-ROM, the program should start automatically and launch two browser windows. If no window opens, or if you wish to manually start the program at a later time with the CD-ROM already in the CD drive, locate and double-click the file on the CD-ROM at /data/loader.htm or /data/default.htm

The Program Window Doesn't Appear
When you insert the CD-ROM, the program should start automatically and launch two browser windows. If only a single window that includes the text "Please keep this window open while you are going through Basics of Iraqi Arabic" opens, but the second window with the program interface does not open, you may have a pop-up blocker installed (software that prohibits Internet browsers from opening pop-up windows). Use the specific override or disable feature of your pop-up blocking software to permit the pop-up window to open while opening the file located on the CD-ROM at /data/loader.htm or /data/default.htm

Windows XP Systems - "\\file:data\loader.htm is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource..."
On some systems running Windows XP and certain versions of Internet Explorer, the security and administrative privileges may be set so that the shellexec program cannot successfully autorun the HTML file from the CD-ROM. In this case, you may still manually start the program by locating and double-clicking the file on the CD-ROM at /data/loader.htm or /data/default.htm

MP3 Player Information
To upload MP3 files, there are two options. 
1) If the MP3 player doesn't allow folders, upload from "Complete List". 
2) If the MP3 player does allow folders, upload from "Divided into Folders".

Problems with Audio - Windows Media Player Help
"Basics of Iraqi Arabic" works with Media Player versions 6.4, 7.1 and 9.0.  The testing was done on Win2K WS with I.E 5.50 sp2. Note:  If using Media Player 9.0 there are two additional files that must be installed by an administrator if they have not already been installed.

On Media 7.1 to set the Windows Media Player options. Go to View > Options and click "Advanced". With "Streaming Media" highlighted, click "Change". Then, under "Protocols", check "Multicast", "TCP" and "HTTP" and select "No proxy" under "HTTP". Then click "OK" to enable the changes.

On Media 9.0, install the attached two files located in the /media directory on the CD-ROM:

1.  Install the MPsetup file accepting all defaults. The installation requires a reboot.

2.  Install the WMPcds file (This utility installs the following Windows Media Codecs: WM Video versions 7 and 8, WM Audio (all versions), WM Screen version 7, and other legacy codecs) when prompted, select the RE-INSTALL ALL COMPONENTS option.
