Persian/Farsi Sustainment and Enhancement Course

The Persian/Farsi Sustainment and Enhancement Course is a 12-week program designed to help maintain and enhance the language proficiency of U.S. DoD Persian/Farsi linguists serving throughout the world. The program targets linguists at levels 1+ - 2 according to ILR descriptions; however, it also offers material that is well suited to linguists of higher ability. The program is composed of three separate, yet integrated components:

Web-based instruction

Video Tele-Training (VTT)

Instructor-directed, online tasks

The goals of the program are:

•   be more familialized with applicable Persian/Farsi vocabulary and phraseology;

•   better understand Persian/Farsi structure and grammar;

•   improve listening and reading proficiency; improve writing and speaking proficiency;
